Best Mexican restaurant my husband and I have eaten at! It was delicious. Could use new paint and some love, but the food was amazing. My husband loved the molcajete.

Food was authentic and I got the vegetarian chimichanga so service was quick and the menu had a large selection. We were surprised by the vegetarian options and knew this place was once we tried the chips and salsa they provide complimentary. Service was prompt and friendly. Such a nice spot in Tracy City after a hike at Foster Falls. After living in Los Angeles and Washington State, this place reminded of a lot of favorites.

The food was really good. Very authentic. I will say it was very busy and not many servers ,but we weren't in a hurry. It is very small and the name is a little confusing. Overall very good food and worth the drive.

El Maguey is it's new name. Excellent, authentic real Mexican food, Guadalajara. I had the spinach enchilada with rice and beans. The tortillas seemed fresh made not your store bought variety. The filling was delicious without cheese (vegan) and rice was tasty. The refried beans were yum and not from a can. It all came out hot and seemed freshly cooked. Arizona has good Mexican food. This restaurant just joined them as one of the Best. They chips and salsa were scrumptious. Yeah. Nice family restaurant. May They thrive.

Only 5 minutes away from the popular Fiery Gizzard north trailhead! After hiking 13 miles, this is the perfect dinner stop. The food is delicious and filling. Two things you really want after a long hard hike. Menu name says “El Maguey” on it so I’m unsure what this restaurant is actually called. I had the pollo con queso with a side of refried beans. Great portion sizes! Food came out quick and very hot. Highly recommend this little restaurant in Tracy City after a hike in the state park.

Wow! I mean, if you just drive by and think …”maybe we should try something else -that’s just a hole…”well, you’re not exactly wrong but you will be missing out on some of the Best Mexican food in the region! We eat Mexican A LOT and this was one of the best Mexican restaurants we’ve ever visited. I was thinking, can the reviews really be that accurate? Heck yeah! The staff was so friendly and helpful and our meal came out fairly quickly. The chips and salsa were so fresh and it was hard not to fill up on them! The sweet tea was delicious and I don’t know if it’s a Tracy City spring water thing or I was just thirsty from hiking but the water was super cold and refreshing! We had the fajitas Texanas and the chicken, steak and shrimp were all a good portion and grilled to perfection! We will absolutely make this our post hike go to wherever we come back to the area! We may even have to make the drive from Murfreesboro just to be able to eat here again!

This place is absolutely delicious. The ingredients are always fresh and the food is consistently tasty and filling. I got the chicken tortilla soup, and it was divine. The guacamole casera is another highlight of the menu. You can see the quality of the ingredients right on the dish. You also can’t go wrong with the white queso. The staff is friendly and attentive. One note: you pay at the front register when you’re ready rather than waiting on the servers.

Great food, affordable prices friendly staff would recommend this restaurant
